Dr. Paul Charles

Paul Charles is an experienced senior executive and thought leader focused on renewable, clean energy technologies. He is the co-founder of American Battery Factory (ABF) — the first network of safe, clean, green, rapid-construction, modular gigafactories focused on lithium iron phosphate (LFP) prismatic cells for the energy storage and commercial electric vehicle (EV) markets — and led the company as its first CEO and President. He has 30 years of experience in private and public sectors including energy, nanotechnology, finance, manufacturing, real estate development/construction, mining, and technology. He has structured multiple companies, investment entities, and funds including co-founding an energy company dealing with PEMEX and CFE — Mexico’s national oil and electric companies. He began his foray into the world of energy as the founder of a portable computing peripheral company providing battery charging products based out of the Silicon Valley, Arizona, and Switzerland. He developed, patented, and brought to market the first universal docking station for portable computers and created the first external bay replication products and commercialized them with IBM globally. He graduated with honors in Finance, Accounting, and Economics from Brigham Young University.
