Prof. Andrea Lazzeri is specialized in deformation and fracture processes of composite materials, toughening of polymeric materials by rubber particles or inorganic micro and nanoparticles. He has authored more than 205 publications in international journals and 4 patents (7100 citations, h-index 43). He teaches Materials Science and Technology (at the Naval Academy in Livorno), Mechanical Behaviour of Materials, Composite Materials Science and Engineering, and Fundamentals of Polymer Processing. He has coordinated four European projects on Materials Science. He has been chairperson of the master degree program in Materials and Nanotechnology at the University of Pisa and Director of the Interdepartmental Center in Material Science and Engineering of the University of Pisa. He is a member of the Board of Directors of both AIMAT, the Italian Association of Materials Engineering and of INSTM, the Italian Interuniversity Consortium of Materials Science and Technology.
